On the 18th of September a powerful earthquake hit the Himalayan area. Nature as it usually does did not cooperate after the earthquake as it poured down heavy rain, making it very hard to rescue people who were trapped. Over 100,000 houses were damaged with death rates rising from the earthquake, to toppling houses and walls that fell over onto people. Other areas surrounding still took the hit although it was not as severe. With the weather not cooperating helicopters dropped food into some of the towns and evacuated some of the injured.
This is a sad story to read because earthquakes are very dangerous. People can try to protect themselves by hiding underneath safe objects, but them large magnitude earthquakes and topple walls and houses to the ground killing multiple people who are trying to be cautious.
