Floods Trample Past Record in NY and PA

New York and Pennsylvania has been hit hard in the last 72 hours with massive rainfalls and flooding. This flood is topping both the flood in 2006 and in 1972. The picture below shows parts of NY and PA where the amount of rainfall is from 1-5+ inches.  As you can see towards the middle of the photo there is a large stretch of area that has gotten more than 5 inches of rain and it also points out the towns that have been hit hard with the heavy rain fall. The tropical storm Lee is the reason for the flooding. The southern part of the United States was hit with the rain as well but the different conditions of the Northeastern States and the Southern states leaves the Northeastern States in a struggle to stay a float.
